Please Don't pet the Moose! He's wet!

This Moose became part of a 75 foot X 5 Foot mural covering three walls at the Famous Antler's Restaurant on Portage Ave. in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He's definitely a favorite of mine. I finally painted him onto a canvas, with prints available this spring.

Awards can be fun!

Here I am accepting the award for best Oil painting at the Fall Festival of the Arts in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

Cedar Chest

This Cedar chest was built by Bob Berger, I painted the fall scene on it and we collectively gave it to the Sault Area Arts Center for their annual art auction. I do have two more left to do if anyone is interested.

Emptiness Of Ages

"The Emptiness of ages in his eyes and on his back the burdens of the world." This poem inspired me to paint the portrait of Tom Miller of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan shown standing next to his portrait at the Alberta House Art Center "Blues" exhibit.

Corner at the Antler's

This big buck and the bears are part of the 75 foot wall mural painted in May, 2008 at the Antler's Restaurant in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

The rest of the herd

Continuing north on the east wall, you will find the rest of the herd of deer at the Antler's Restaurant.

Sault Locks Tray

Here is a tray I painted for the Sault Area Arts Center's art auction.

Elk Rapids Show

Here is my booth at one of the Elk Rapid's shows near Traverse City, Michigan.

Katmai Bay Photo Frame

This item sells for $45.00 and makes a lovely gift. USCGC Mackinaw 83 or 30, also available.

U.S.C.G.C.Bertholf

This is a photo taken at Sector Sault with Captain Mark J. Huebschman and myself prior to shipping the painting off to New York City to become part of the U.S. Coast Guard Art Program's 2009 Permanent collection.

Annie and Tom

Annie and Tom Sullivan invited me to go along for one of the last voyages of the USCGC Mackinaw in March of 2006. We were cutting ice from the Soo Locks to Whitefish Bay. This was the highlight of the year 2006 for me !!!!

Cardinal Commission

I was commissioned to paint these lovely cardinals on the front door of a grandfather clock for Don and Judy of Elk Rapids.

My Studio wall

Here is one wall in my studio just prior to sending the "USCGC Bertholf" off to New York.

Headboard Commission

This is a beautiful Oak King size head board I had the privilege to paint for Jean and Chuck from Iroquois Point in Brimley, Michigan. There is a bald eagle in the first panel, a herd of deer in the second panel and a Bull Moose in the third panel. It goes very nicely with the fall birches on her cedar chest I had previously painted.

Headboard Commission

Here's another view of the headboard commission.
